Anthony Pompliano, better known as Pomp in the cryptosphere, is bullishly optimistic regarding the future of cryptocurrencies and the underlying blockchain technology. That doesn't mean that the founder and partner of investment firm Morgan Creek Digital is not realistic. In an exclusive interview with BLOCKTV, Pomp predicts that "it is likely we have not seen the bottom" when it comes to crypto prices, adding that he is expecting Bitcoin to return to a price range of $3k.

However, he does believe that the leading digital coin will one day be valued at over $100k, although he said it is difficult to put a time frame on exactly when that will happen. Pomp also talked ETFs, noting that if an Exchange Traded Fund were to be approved by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and price went sideways or down, it would result in "psychological impact of true capitulation."

As for 2019, Pomp feels the bear market could prolong deep into the year, but nevertheless remains optimistic. "I think that the detractors will be very very overwhelmed or impressed with what is done when we are talking at the end of 2019," he explained. "The supporters will always want it to happen faster, but the key piece here, and I try to stress this to people, is that I fundamentally believe every stock, bond, currency, and commodity will be digitized at some point in the future. This is not a one year exercise, this is not a two year exercise. This is going to take a lot of work and a really long time."
