Total market capitalization crossed $220 billion for the first time in almost a month on Wednesday, with the top currencies showing strong gains on the day.
Bitcoin is being traded at $6,526.53 according to BLOCKTVMARKET as of 02:45AM EST, climbing 1.57 percent over the past 24 hours. The leading currency broke through $6,500 for the first time after two weeks, with the volume of trading over the last day at more than $5 billion. BTC will be looking to test $6,600 next, a mark it hasn't reached since October 16.

Ethereum hit $220 for the first time since October 11 before slightly dropping and being traded at $218.27 at the time of writing, up 3.73% over the past day.

XRP, the No. 3 currency according to market cap, climbed a modest 0.28% to 0.5267, but is still up almost 15% over the last two days.

Bitcoin Cash continued its surge and its total market cap is already over $10 billion, being traded at $616.47 after its value increased 10.67% over the past 24h. BCH breached the $600 mark on Tuesday for the first time since its big drop on September 5. It went from $460 to $580, a climb of 26 percent, over a 33-hour stretch last week, on the news that crypto exchange powerhouses, Coinbase and Binance, had announced their support for its hard fork on November 15.
